Combat2Coffee uses coffee as a vehicle to drive positive mental health conversations among former armed forces personnel and people from the uniformed services.
The Flying Horse Cafe & Public House is a family-friendly community venue on Waterford Road that operates as an alcohol-free café during weekdays until 5pm before transitioning to a full pub and restaurant, welcoming families, dogs, and everyone in between with accessible facilities and a packed events programme.
STEAM operates as a café-styled space providing holistic support to adults experiencing mental health crisis, with fully-trained multidisciplinary teams available day and night. Each location is individually designed to meet local community needs, offering guidance, support and personalised pathway plans developed collaboratively with clients. STEAM provides person-centred intervention assistance to support primary services across Suffolk and Norfolk.
St Lawrence Café is a social enterprise café located in a converted church on Dial Lane, serving freshly made food and speciality coffee whilst supporting adults with learning disabilities, mental health challenges, and long-term unemployment through structured work placements. Part of Realise Futures, the café provides training opportunities and pathways to employment for people who face barriers in traditional workplaces. The venue also serves as a community hub, hosting regular groups and events for local residents across Ipswich.
The Green Room is a café located on St Margaret's Green in Ipswich, serving single-estate coffee sourced through London roaster Climpson & Sons alongside seasonal food, homemade cakes and pastries. The café positions itself as an open space for connecting with both familiar faces and new people, hosting local events and welcoming community groups. With Friday craft sessions and collaborations with area producers, The Green Room serves as a gathering place for creative projects and social connection.
