Combat2Coffee founder competes for £1m on ITV with Ant & Dec

Nigel Seaman, founder of Ipswich-based veteran mental health organisation Combat2Coffee, says he was "stitched up" by a friend who secretly nominated him to appear on ITV's Limitless Win Christmas Special airing this week.

Why it matters: The appearance on the Ant & Dec show puts Combat2Coffee on national television just weeks after it won the 2025 King's Award for Voluntary Service, giving the Community Interest Company (CIC) a platform to highlight veteran mental health support in Suffolk. Seaman will compete alongside football legend Jamie Redknapp for the chance to win up to £1m.

The details: Seaman, 52, said he was surprise-nominated by friend and colleague Symone. He was chosen for the show based on his work as an army veteran who set up a coffee company to support the mental health of ex-servicemen and women.

Seaman served in Northern Ireland and experienced post-traumatic stress disorder before founding Combat2Coffee in 2018 as a social enterprise. He has put his life savings into the CIC, which recently won the 2025 King's Award for Voluntary Service, the UK's highest honour for voluntary groups.

The show airs on Saturday, 27 December 2025 at 20:30 on ITV, where he will compete with Redknapp, ex-England and Liverpool player and son of football legend Harry, on the show's "Limitless ladder".

What they're saying: On meeting Ant & Dec, Seaman said: "They're normal people, and they proved that when I met them. You can have a normal conversation, and a bit of banter with them. I was probably more straight-laced than they were on the day of filming."

His strategy for the competition is straightforward: "Trust your gut, take your time and stay grounded. I'm not afraid to take a calculated risk when it matters."

Despite the potential life-changing prize, he reflected: "I don't want anything specific, I just want what I've got now, I think I've got so much. For the first time in my life, I've got a good direction, I'm happy, I'm growing in my journey."

What's next: Any prize money would help his children get on in life, allow him to buy a property adapted for his below-knee amputation, and fund a celebration for Combat2Coffee volunteers.

"A million-pound win would allow me to buy a property and for it to be fitted for me with my leg. Owning my own property with no mortgage would be amazing," he said.

For context: Combat2Coffee operates from Unit 1, Handford Business Park. The organisation serves veterans, ex-uniformed personnel and families with mental health and wellbeing support, and served more than 250,000 cups of coffee in 2023 through its coffee shops, mobile units and portable roastery.

The bottom line: Ipswich residents can tune in to ITV's Limitless Win with Ant & Dec on Saturday, 27 December at 20:30 to watch Nigel compete for up to £1m whilst bringing national attention to Combat2Coffee's veteran mental health work in Suffolk.
