All staff receive autism awareness and mental health support training, while the venue hosts diverse community activities, including a weekly crochet club and seasonal craft fairs.

What's next: The business was recently announced as a finalist in the 2025 Small Business Awards. Voting is open from 12:00 on 1st August until midnight on 1st October.

The bottom line: Owner Sharon Lockhart said, "We're proud to be part of the Ipswich community. Geek Retreat is more than just a shop – it's a safe space where people can come together, make friends, and feel at home."
