Police find car of missing Framlingham man Edward Osborne

Police have located the blue Skoda belonging to missing Edward Osborne in Ipswich, as searches continue around the River Orwell area with help from Coastguard and rescue teams.

The big picture: Edward, 43, was last heard from at 17:30 on Tuesday 14 January. His car was discovered this morning in the Gainsborough area of Ipswich after a member of the public alerted police.

Why it matters: Officers have now focused their search efforts around the River Orwell and surrounding coastline, working alongside the Coastguard and Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue (SulSAR).

Description: Edward is described as:

  • White

  • 6ft tall

  • Slim build

  • Has a large raven tattoo on his upper right arm

He was last seen wearing:

  • Blue padded coat

  • Black hoody with orange writing

  • Blue jeans

  • Black and white Converse-style trainers

  • Black woollen hat

  • Calling 101
