The big picture: The Marlow Road school, which has 587 pupils, continues to deliver high-quality education while fostering an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity, according to inspectors who visited on 15 and 16 October.
Why it matters: This was the first inspection since September 2024, when Ofsted removed overall effectiveness ratings from school inspections. The report gives parents insight into how the school is performing across key areas.

Key findings:
The school's curriculum is "well designed and ambitious", with most pupils producing high-quality work.
Pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) receive "excellent standard of care" alongside well-planned teaching.
Reading is prioritised from nursery onwards, with effective support for struggling readers.
Behaviour is described as "excellent" with calm classrooms and corridors.
Sports play a "pivotal role" in school life, with all pupils encouraged to participate.
Areas for improvement:
Some pupils' attendance needs to improve to ensure they make better progress
Assessment approaches need to be more consistent across all subjects
Leadership structure: The school is part of the Children's Endeavour Trust, led by:
Co-headteachers Andrea Hall and Anna Siddall
Chief Executive Officer Daniel Jones
Trust Chair Ian Scott
The bottom line: While highlighting some two minor areas for development, inspectors found the school maintains high standards and delivers an inclusive education that prepares pupils well for their future steps.
