Weekend countdown to Buttermarket's Lilo & Stitch character visit

The Buttermarket Centre has confirmed that its Hawaiian-themed family day on Tuesday will feature a special guest from the popular Disney franchise Lilo & Stitch.

Why it matters: With just days to go, families can plan their visit to the free Aloha Adventure Day next Tuesday.

The details: Tuesday's tropical-themed event at the Buttermarket Centre will include:

  • Free face painting for children

  • A themed selfie station with a special backdrop

  • Prize draw for a family ticket to see the new Lilo & Stitch film at Omniplex

What they're saying: "We're looking forward to welcoming families for a memorable and fun-filled Aloha Adventure Day," says Rebecca Bird, Buttermarket Centre Manager. "A family favourite from an upcoming movie release is visiting the centre and will be bringing their mischievous behaviour with them."

Behind the scenes: Social media posts from the Buttermarket have been teasing the identity of the "mischievous" character, with many shoppers speculating it will be Stitch, the blue alien from the film.

For context: The Aloha Adventure Day takes place on Tuesday, 27 May, providing entertainment during the school break.

The bottom line: Visitors interested in meeting the character and enjoying the free activities should follow the Buttermarket's Facebook and Instagram accounts for final updates before Tuesday's event.
