Three men rob O2 store on Tavern Street in Ipswich

Police are hunting three male suspects who threatened staff and attempted to steal items from the O2 shop at 1pm today.

What happened: Officers were called to reports of robbery at the O2 shop on Tavern Street this afternoon. Three male suspects threatened shop staff and attempted to steal items before fleeing the scene.

What we don't know: Police have not confirmed whether anything was actually stolen during the incident. The suspects are yet to be apprehended.

The investigation: Forensic officers have been conducting an investigation at the store, which had remained closed for most of the afternoon. Parts of the shop were sectioned off while teams swept for prints, and a large police presence was spotted around the town centre.

What's next: Police are appealing for witnesses or anybody with information to come forward.
