Three-day party planned for Mannings pub grand reopening

A weekend of celebrations, including live music and karaoke, will mark the reopening of a popular Ipswich town centre pub. Mannings is throwing open its doors this Friday after an extensive makeover.

Why it matters: The pub has undergone a six-figure renovation, upgrading its bar, toilets and décor throughout the venue.

  • The celebration kicks off on Friday, 24 Januar,y at 20:00 with the resident DJ playing until 01:00

  • Live music returns on Saturday from 20:00

  • Sunday features karaoke starting at 16:00

Behind the scenes: The venue has been closed since Monday, 13 January, for what they playfully called "a sparkle" – a comprehensive refurbishment that includes a new bar, upgraded facilities and complete redecoration.

What they're saying: "We can't wait to show off our brand new Mannings - it's going to be epic," the pub announced on social media.

The bottom line: The weekend-long celebration marks not just a reopening but a complete transformation of a popular town centre pub, with the owners promising to show visitors "the new pub" in style.
