The details: Jake McMillan, most recently of Banbury Road, Hackney in London but formerly of Ipswich, has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Ipswich Magistrates' Court today.

He has also been charged with being concerned in the supply of cannabis.

Officers discovered McNicholl's body at the Hawthorn Drive address shortly before 18:00 on 1 January. A Home Office post-mortem examination determined the cause of death was head injuries and a stab wound to the right shoulder.

For context: McMillan was first arrested on 22 January when he was 17, before being bailed with conditions. He was re-arrested yesterday on suspicion of murder and taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

What's next: McMillan will appear before magistrates this morning.
