Why it matters: The dinners provide a proper festive meal with all the trimmings for some of the town's most vulnerable people who might otherwise go without during Christmas.
The details: The charity's staff and service users peeled vegetables and wrapped pigs in blankets around the clock to prepare the dinners, which came with Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes and gravy alongside clear reheating instructions.
The charity had initially planned to cook for only the 30 people staying in its own emergency accommodation beds but was able to make more than triple that number thanks to donations received.

What they're saying: Jane Simpson, chief executive of Anglia Care Trust, said: "Our team have been just as busy as the elves in the North Pole in the run up to Christmas, lovingly preparing these nutritious meals for those in need."
Recipients included those housed at Armitage Place, supported by Ipswich Borough Council. One person said it was the "best full plate of food I've had in ages", while another said "the dinner was lovely, thank you all".
For context: Anglia Care Trust provides rough sleeper and emergency accommodation support in Ipswich and is the largest independent charity provider of housing to Ipswich Borough Council, with more than 200 beds available to those in need.
The bottom line: A Suffolk charity has turned generous donations into a memorable Christmas for 100 vulnerable people across Ipswich, delivering hot meals and festive cheer to those who need it most.
