Spooky market brings Halloween thrills to The Walk next Sunday

Ghosts, ghouls and local crafts will fill The Walk next Sunday as a Halloween-themed market offers families free spooky entertainment alongside handmade gifts and face painting.

Why it matters: The Halloween market provides free family entertainment during the school half-term period while supporting local makers and bringing footfall to The Walk's shopping area.

The details: The Spooky Market will run from 12:00 to 16:00 on Sunday, 5 October, with over 15 stalls featuring local makers' items with a Halloween theme.

What they're saying: Will Hamer, co-founder of Threads for All and one of the event organisers, said: "We'll have over 15 stalls featuring local makers' items, including artwork, jewellery, wax melts, and upcycled curios – all with a spooky Halloween theme. There will also be a face painter to add to the fun. As always, The Walk will be decorated fabulously to match the Halloween spirit."

The bigger picture: The Halloween market continues The Walk's programme of themed events following the successful Christmas market last December and the retro and vintage market earlier in the month.

The bottom line: Next Sunday's free Halloween market offers families spooky entertainment and local shopping as The Walk continues its efforts to attract regular visitors through themed community events.
