It's unclear when tracks will be cleared and normal service will resume

Background: This disruption follows earlier problems on Thursday night and early Friday morning, when fallen trees blocked the line between Witham and Braintree.

Weather warning: The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning as Storm Darragh approaches. Suffolk could face strong winds of up to 45mph between 15:00 on Friday and 06:00 on Sunday.

Bottom line: No timeline has been given for when debris will be cleared or services restored. Passengers are advised to check their journey before travelling as more trains could be cancelled.
