Police appeal after two girls approached by car with dog crate in Stowmarket

Two young girls were approached by three males in a white car in Stowmarket on Monday, prompting a police investigation.

Why it matters: The incident occurred in a public area near Creeting Road Park, raising safety concerns for children in the community.

The details: The girls were walking down Gun Cotton Way towards Creeting Road Park at approximately 14:30 on Monday, 17 February when a white car slowly approached them. The males inside the vehicle reportedly began verbally engaging with the girls.

What to look out for: The vehicle was reported to have had a dog crate in the back, a distinctive feature that could help identify the car.

What's next: Suffolk Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

The bottom line: Anyone who can help the inquiry is asked to contact Suffolk Police, quoting crime reference number 37/9272/25, through their website, by email at ccc@suffolk.pnn.police.uk, by calling 101, or by contacting Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
