Otley Primary School remains shut as investigation launched

Fire investigators are set to determine the cause of Monday's blaze at Otley Primary School, which saw eight fire crews respond to the scene.

The big picture: Investigators will visit the Chapel Road site today to examine how the fire started and spread through the building. The school remains shut.

What happened: The fire broke out in a toilet area at the school at around 15:30 on Monday afternoon before spreading to the roof, prompting a major emergency response. Eight fire engines and one aerial ladder platform were deployed in total. Thankfully, no injuries were reported, but the school remains shut.
