Firefighters tackled a blaze at a house in Ellenbrook Green, Ipswich on Friday after an oil heater caught fire. All occupants escaped without injury.
The big picture: Three fire crews, police and ambulance services responded to the incident, which began at 11:49 on Friday morning.

The fire broke out in an oil heater on the ground floor
Occupants raised the alarm
Two fire engines from Princes Street and one from Ipswich East attended
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet
Crews used portable ventilation equipment to clear smoke
Response time: The incident was dealt with swiftly, with a Stop notice issued at 12:21.
Bottom line: Quick action by residents and emergency services prevented what could have been a more serious incident. All occupants were accounted for and no injuries were reported.
