National small business roadshow to visit Ipswich next week

A nationwide tour celebrating small businesses will make Ipswich one of its 23 stops this November, ahead of Small Business Saturday in December.

Why it matters: The tour aims to highlight the impact of small businesses on local communities and the economy while offering free support to help them thrive.

The big picture:

  • The BT-supported roadshow arrives in Ipswich on 29 November

  • It's part of a countdown to Small Business Saturday on 7 December

  • Free online training, mentoring and webinars are being offered to local businesses

Going deeper: Ipswich Borough Council is launching its own initiative alongside the tour, partnering with All About Ipswich for a social media campaign to:

  • Encourage residents to shop locally

  • Support small businesses

  • Showcase independent shopping and dining options across the borough

What they're saying: "We're thrilled to see the Small Business Saturday tour coming to Ipswich to tell the stories of the small businesses who make an important contribution to our local economy," says Councillor Neil MacDonald, Leader of Ipswich Borough Council.

The bottom line: Small businesses can sign up for the free daily online training and insight programme through the Small Business Saturday website.

We're regenerating Ipswich – but we can't do it without you!

People tell us every day that our work matters – that it's making Ipswich better; that it's needed.
