Police seek urgent support finding missing Framlingham man believed to be in Ipswich area

Police are urgently searching for a 43-year-old Framlingham man last heard from yesterday evening, with searches focusing on Ipswich after his car was believed to have been spotted in the area.

The big picture: Edward Osborne, 43, was last heard from at 17:30 on Tuesday, 14 January, prompting a multi-agency search operation focusing on Ipswich's waterways.

Why it matters: Police and family members are very concerned for Edward's welfare, and officers believe he may be in the Ipswich area.

Search details:

  • Emergency services are conducting searches around the River Orwell and surrounding coastline

  • The Coastguard and Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue (SulSAR) have joined the operation

  • Edward is believed to be driving a blue Skoda, registration CX11 ZBP

Description: Edward is described as:

  • White

  • 6ft tall

  • Slim build

  • Has a large tattoo of a raven on his upper right arm

He was last seen wearing:

  • Blue padded coat

  • Black hoody with orange writing

  • Blue jeans

  • Black and white Converse-style trainers

  • Black woollen hat

Bottom line: Anyone who sees Edward or knows of his whereabouts should call police immediately on 999, quoting CAD 361 of 14 January.
