Man seriously injured in Pinewood collision with Nissan Micra

Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian suffered serious injuries in a collision with a car in Pinewood last Friday.

The big picture: The collision took place at around 9am on Friday 20 December in Shepherd Drive, involving a pedestrian and a blue Nissan Micra.

The details: The pedestrian, a man in his 40s, was taken to Ipswich Hospital with serious leg and head injuries.

  • His injuries have been confirmed as non-life-threatening and non-life-changing

  • Police are seeking witnesses and dashcam footage from motorists in the area at the time

What's next: Suffolk Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Roads and Armed Policing Team, quoting reference 37/71887/24. Information can be provided through:

Bottom line: While the pedestrian's injuries are not life-threatening, police are keen to gather evidence from the public to fully understand the circumstances of the collision.
