Why it matters: The donation supports The Suffolk Punch Trust's work in preserving the county's heritage breed for future generations while educating people about Suffolk's agricultural history.

Commercial property firm, Penn Commercial, presented the cheque during its Spring/Summer Penn Affiliates Networking Breakfast at the Trust's 120-acre site in Hollesley on 12th June.

The details: Penn Commercial has supported The Suffolk Punch Trust as its corporate charity since 2022, with annual donations calculated on the number of lettings and sales transactions completed throughout the year.

The networking event brought together Penn Commercial staff including Managing Director Vanessa Penn, alongside affiliate partners from local businesses including Ascender Creative, Wincer Kievenaar Architects Limited, Currys Business, Fusion Sign Systems, and Clear Idea Finance.

What they're saying: "We are proud to support The Suffolk Punch Trust's important work in preserving this historic heavy-horse breed for generations to come," said Vanessa Penn. "Our long-standing partnership with the Trust will help to ensure that future generations can learn more about our Suffolk heritage, whilst getting to enjoy these very special 'gentle giants'."

The bottom line: Penn Commercial's ongoing corporate partnership demonstrates how local businesses can support heritage preservation whilst strengthening community connections through their charitable giving.
