Kurdish restaurant to open on Upper Orwell Street

A new Kurdish restaurant is set to open on Upper Orwell Street in Ipswich, promising to be "a place where food, design, and ambience come together to create a memorable experience".

The details: The restaurant describes itself as "a place where food, design, and ambience come together to create a memorable experience". Located at 39 Upper Orwell Street, it will offer both indoor dining and a "cosy" patio area.

The menu will feature traditional Kurdish dishes including kebabs, flame-grilled burgers, and freshly made wraps. The restaurant will use "quality ingredients and time-honoured recipes to deliver bold flavours and unforgettable taste".

What they're saying: "Drawing on our deep roots in Kurdish culinary traditions, we envisioned Kurdistan Republic Restaurant as a place where guests can gather, share authentic flavours, and celebrate the rich heritage of Kurdish cuisine with every bite," the restaurant's website states.

The establishment promises to offer "something for everyone — whether you're dining in or grabbing a takeaway", with options ranging from quick lunches to hearty dinners.

What's next: The restaurant will be open Monday to Sunday from 10:00 to 22:00. An opening date has not yet been announced.
