Why it matters: We've known it's been coming for some time, but the removal of Town's promotion mural on Norwich Road symbolises the end of Ipswich Town's brief return to English football's top flight after a 22-year hiatus.

The details: The large mural, painted on the junction of Norwich Road and Barrack Lane in August, depicted the faces of Harry Clarke, Sam Morsy, Conor Chaplin, and Kieran McKenna.
It was organised by TNT Sports' Only Sport Can Do This campaign, which was a nationwide project that began last July.
Following the conclusion of the Premier League season over the weekend, which saw Town drop back down to the Championship, the mural has been painted over.
The bottom line: The mural may be gone, but it commemorated Ipswich Town's remarkable journey from League One to the Premier League – an achievement that will remain a part of the club's proud history for years to come. And, who knows, maybe we'll get a new one next year?
