Why it matters: The pop-up donation station, which opened today, provides a convenient way for the community to support local animal welfare while decluttering their homes.

The details: The temporary collection point is located in the unit next to TK Maxx and will operate daily from 10:00 to 16:00 until Sunday, 15 June. Donations accepted include clothing, shoes, accessories, books, toys, and household items in good, reusable condition.

Rebecca Bird, Centre Manager at The Buttermarket, said: "We are delighted to host this Pop-Up Donation Station. It's a fantastic initiative that allows our community to easily support important local causes. We hope to see many of our visitors taking part and making a difference."

Lorna Goodwin, Corporate & Community Fundraiser at RSPCA Suffolk Central Branch, added: "We are so grateful to The Buttermarket for hosting this donation station. Every item donated will help us to continue caring for vulnerable animals in our community. We encourage everyone to pop along and donate any unwanted items. Your generosity will make a real difference."

The bottom line: Shoppers can clear out unwanted household items whilst directly supporting the care of vulnerable animals in Ipswich through a simple drop-off at The Buttermarket.
