Why it matters: The free community event provides a single point of access to specialist advice and resources for anyone living with dementia or supporting a loved one, coinciding with World Alzheimer's Day.

The details: The event will take place on Tuesday, 24 September, from 13:30 to 17:30 at Martlesham Community Hall. Organisations attending include the Alzheimer's Society, Suffolk Fire Service, legal advisors, and health and wellbeing support services.

The event offers friendly advice, practical support, and information in a welcoming community setting with free entry and refreshments provided.

The bigger picture: This marks the third year Home Instead has organised the event, establishing it as "a really valuable source of support" for the dementia community. The annual gathering has grown to become a key resource for families navigating the challenges of dementia care.

What's on offer: Attendees can access guidance from multiple specialist organisations under one roof, eliminating the need to contact services individually. The range of support covers medical advice, legal guidance, safety information, and general wellbeing resources.

For more information: Those interested in attending or learning more about Home Instead's services can call 01473 272301.

The bottom line: Local organisations are working together to ensure families affected by dementia have access to the support and guidance they need in one accessible location.
