Former Wiff Waff bar premises under offer after seven months

A prominent Waterfront building that previously housed Wiff Waff bar is under offer after being on the market for seven months. The property, listed at £550,000, could soon welcome new owners or renters.

The big picture: The property, marketed by Christie & Co on behalf of Eddisons since June last year, comes with a 115-year-long leasehold and is split into two units. The premises closed its doors in April 2024 after operating as Wiff Waff for five years.

Looking back: With one of the biggest TV screens in town, the former bar was a popular entertainment venue for football and boxing fans, especially in the summer months.

What's next: While the property is under offer, it remains unclear what the premises will be used for or which business plans to move in. Former staff had previously expressed hope that the building would continue to operate as a bar.

Bottom line: The potential sale could mark a new chapter for this prominent Waterfront location, though the future use of the space remains uncertain.
