Situated on Upper Brook Street in the centre of Ipswich, our content studio is designed so anyone can walk in, press record, and create outstanding content – even if you’ve never set foot in a studio before.
You don’t need a technical background, a production crew, or any specialist knowledge, and we have all the video, audio and lighting equipment you need.
Audio booth
A podcast studio with sound-engineered walls, broadcast-quality microphones and an audio console that enables you to record brilliant podcasts with just one tap of a button. Perfect for podcasts and audio content creation. Includes mics, audio console and headphones. Up to two speakers.

Video studio
A multi-purpose video content studio for 4K video production. Perfect for interviews, talk shows and talking head videos. Includes cameras, mics, lighting and video console. Supports up to 4 speakers and 14 guests.

Upperbrooks isn't a standalone studio – it's part of Ipswich.co.uk, an independent community media and impact company hellbent on accelerating the regeneration of our town.
We built our studio because we saw a gap: too many people struggled to create professional video content. So we created a studio that anyone could use. No complicated setup, no technical jargon, no steep learning curve. Just a space that works the way you'd expect it to and allows you to create journalist-quality content at an affordable rate.

Here are some questions we're regularly asked:
Is equipment included?
Yes, everything you need to record 4K video content and broadcast quality audio is included: cameras, lights, mics and accessories.
Can I bring my own equipment?
Of course. We'll provide everything you ned to shoot 4K video with great sound, but if you want to bring one or more of our own cameras, you're very welcome to.
Does the price include editing?
No, we only provide studio and equipment hire. You will need to do your own editing. We can introduce you to people who can help with post-production if you need.
Will you help on the day?
We’ll spend 15 minutes running you through the equipment and then leave you to it. If you need a producer, we can provide one at an additional cost of £250 per day.

Our studio is on Upper Brook Street, in Ipswich town centre.
Where is the nearest parking?
NCP Tacket Street and the Buttermarket Centre are the closest car parks – both are within a two-minute walk.
