A fight broke out outside Isaacs on Wherry Quay on the evening of Saturday, 31 May, following the televised Champions League final. Officers were called to the scene just after 20:00 and dispersed a large group of people.

At least one person was injured. Two males were arrested, both on suspicion of affray, with one also arrested for possession of a class B drug. An 18-year-old has been released on police bail until 9 July, and a 17-year-old has been released on police bail until 15 July. Both were questioned at Martlesham police investigation centre.

One witness said the scenes were "embarrassing" and "absolutely shocking," describing "fights breaking out everywhere, young kids provoking Arsenal fans after the defeat, people getting glassed and thrown out".

"It put me off watching England games during the World Cup anywhere other than at home," they said.

Officers are aware that many onlookers recorded video footage and took photographs on their phones, and are urging anyone with material that could assist the investigation to come forward.
