Four teenagers arrested after boy, 16, stabbed in Ipswich

The details: The incident happened at around 20:50 on Friday, 11 September, in New Cut West. The victim was with friends when he was approached by a group of four others, who then stabbed him four times.

He was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged to continue his recovery.

Four teenagers, aged between 15 and 17, were arrested following immediate police enquiries. Three were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and one on suspicion of assisting an offender.

All four were taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and have since been bailed pending further enquiries.

What's next: Officers are appealing for witnesses to the attack. Anyone who was driving in the area of New Cut West, Felaw Street or Bath Street between 20:30 and 21:00 last Friday with a dashcam fitted is asked to review their footage for anything that may assist the investigation.

Local residents with CCTV or doorbell cameras covering the area are also asked to check their footage.
