Coffee, community and wellness: new cafe opens in Ipswich
Harmonious Cafe has launched at Curve Bar, pairing elevated brunch food with a wellness-first approach that includes run clubs and lifestyle events.
Why it matters: The cafe brings together two familiar names in Ipswich's food and wellness scene. It aims to give the town centre a daytime hub for brunch, coffee and community activities as part of a wider trend towards health-conscious hospitality venues.
The details: Harmonious Cafe opened on Wednesday, 1 July 2026. It operates during the day out of Curve Bar (IP1 1RJ). The venture is a partnership between Harmonious Society and The Good Supper.
Harmonious Society is a lifestyle and wellness brand founded by former Ipswich Town FC players Luke Chambers and Emyr Huws. The Good Supper is run by chef Surrey Rogers, previously of the Good Inside cafe, and partner and chef Ben Taylor.
The Good Supper is running the kitchen. The menu includes brunch dishes such as babaganoush with poached eggs, pickled peppers and herb salad. Greek and Caesar salads are also on offer. There is a range of freshly baked focaccia sandwiches, including chicken Caesar with streaky bacon and whipped feta with smacked cucumber.
Harmonious Society is managing the speciality coffee programme.
What's next: The cafe plans to launch a click & collect service via its upcoming website, aimed at commuters and town centre workers, along with an office delivery service offering lunches, sandwiches and buffets to local businesses.
The bigger picture: Beyond food and drink, Harmonious Cafe is positioning itself as a wellness hub. It is incorporating Harmonious Society's existing run club and wellness initiatives into the venue. A private hire service is also being launched with in-house events catered by The Good Supper. The company separately offers external catering for weddings and other venues across the region. On Ipswich Town home match days, the partnership will run a street food pop-up for fans.
What they're saying: Bradley Tai, owner of Curve Bar, said the daytime transformation of the venue made the most of the space for the local neighbourhood. "I love supporting local independent businesses, and bringing this blend of wellness, exceptional food, and great coffee into Curve Bar during the day is exactly what the area needs," he said.
The bottom line: Behind Harmonious Cafe are well-known names from Ipswich Town FC and the local food scene. Brunch, speciality coffee and wellness activities are the ingredients they hope will make Curve Bar a community fixture.
