Why it matters: Charities, CICs and voluntary organisations across Suffolk can now access significantly cheaper mental health training through The Mental Health Toolkit, Suffolk Mind's corporate training arm.

The details: Charities and voluntary organisations can access discounts on selected courses, including "The Essentials" and tailored sessions for frontline services. Smaller organisations booking training together are eligible for further savings through a "buddy up" scheme. The offer applies to bookings made before 1 October.

What they're saying: Wendy Sheppard, Head of Business Development at Suffolk Mind and The Mental Health Toolkit, said: "We know how tough it is for charities at the moment, at a time when the need for mental health training continues to grow.

"We've seen a real desire and need from those in the third sector to upskill their staff, regardless of whether they work in support roles.

"What we want to do is extend that support, increase mental health knowledge across the third sector and boost collaboration between organisations who want to be a force for good."

She added: "Every organisation deserves access to high-quality mental health training – not just to support their customers or service users, but their staff too.

"All our sessions are designed to be empowering, effective and powerful – promoting healthy environments for everyone."

For context: Founded in 2010, The Mental Health Toolkit provides online and in-person CPD accredited mental health training, delivered by experienced psychotherapist trainers. It operates as part of Suffolk Mind, an independent mental health charity, with all profits from its training reinvested back into the mental health services Suffolk Mind offers.

The bottom line: The offer gives charities, CICs and voluntary organisations access to up to 50% off training, helping more good causes upskill their staff.
