Bus driver hospitalised after being punched twice in road rage row

The details: The incident took place at approximately 15:35 on Saturday, 1 August, between the driver of a bus and the driver of a grey BMW car.

• As the bus turned onto the bus lane between Maryon Road and Ravenswood Avenue, a number of cars were initially travelling the wrong way down the lane before reversing back to allow the bus to pass.
• As the bus approached a grey car, the driver – a man – called out, causing the bus driver to stop.
• The driver of the car then got out of his vehicle, reportedly shouting and swearing at the bus driver before punching him to the face through the open window of the vehicle.
• As the bus driver left his vehicle to take the car's registration details, the man punched him to the face again, causing him to fall, before leaving the scene in his car.
• The bus driver was taken to hospital for treatment, having sustained a broken nose, facial lacerations that required stitches, and further grazes and bruising.

Who they're looking for: The suspect is described as a man aged in his 40s to 50s, approximately 5ft 4ins tall, with grey curly hair and a grey beard trimmed short around his face.
