The East Anglian firm has been acquired by UK and international provider Azets in a move the company says will deliver broader services for clients while maintaining the Ensors brand for 12 months.

Why it matters: The acquisition, announced on Monday, 2 September, sees Ensors join an international group that the firm says will bring new opportunities for both staff and clients while preserving the trusted relationships and personalised service that have defined the firm.

The details: Ensors will continue to trade under its own name as "part of Azets" for approximately 12 months during a phased integration period. The firm will have its own dedicated regional leadership team, led by David Scrivener as Regional Managing Director, East.

As part of Azets, Ensors will be able to offer a broader range of services and specialist expertise, backed by the scale and resources of an international group, whilst maintaining its focus on personalised advice.

What they're saying: Azets describes itself as a cultural and strategic fit for Ensors, with shared values, a focus on people, and a commitment to helping businesses grow.

David Scrivener commented: "This is a proud and exciting moment for Ensors. We've built a strong and trusted business by focusing on our people, our clients, and our communities. Joining Azets marks the next phase of our growth, enabling us to offer even more to the clients we serve and the people we employ."

He added: "We've found a like-minded partner in Azets – one that shares our values, our ambition, and our commitment to delivering high-quality, personalised advice. We look forward to what we can achieve together."

Peter Gallanagh, UK Chief Executive Officer at Azets, said: "We are thrilled to welcome Ensors to Azets. The firm has an outstanding reputation in East Anglia, a talented team, and a strong track record of growth. This marks an important milestone as we expand into a new region of the UK, and we're excited about the opportunities it creates for our clients and our people."

The bottom line: The firms assure clients they will experience no disruption to services, only the added benefit of wider access and support as Ensors continues its growth trajectory under international backing.
