What else is on: A fossil digging experience runs from 10:00-16:00, where aspiring palaeontologists can unearth ancient secrets. The dino crafts and activity zone also operates throughout the day, allowing visitors to create prehistoric masterpieces.

Bonus competition: From 1-5 July, visitors can participate in a golden ticket hunt around The Buttermarket for the chance to win a family ticket for four to Omniplex cinema. The competition ties in with the new Jurassic World Rebirth film, which is released on 5 July.

What they're saying: "We are incredibly excited to bring the 'Dino-mite Adventure' to The Buttermarket," says Rebecca Bird, centre manager at Buttermarket Centre. "This event offers a unique blend of entertainment and education, providing families with an unforgettable day out. We can't wait to see the excitement on everyone's faces as they come face-to-face with our amazing dinosaurs!"

The event is in collaboration with Omniplex Cinema, and organisers encourage visitors to watch the new Jurassic World film on its release day.

The bottom line: Free family entertainment with an educational twist comes to Ipswich this Saturday, offering parents a cost-free way to keep children entertained during the holidays.
