ACE dance and music brings TWAWSI (The World As We See It) to DanceEast

Why it matters: ACE dance and music brings TWAWSI – The World As We See It to DanceEast following its world premiere in Birmingham, featuring choreographers from Burkina Faso, Belgium, South Africa and France exploring humanity in uncertain times.

The details: The production features two distinct works performed by seven dancers:

  • Echoes of Dust, created by Serge Aimé Coulibaly and Sigué Sayouba, follows seven individuals navigating chaos in the aftermath of war and disaster as they attempt to rediscover hope.

  • Vincent Mantsoe's Letlalo – meaning "Skin" in Sotho – explores humanity's bond with the earth through African, indigenous and contemporary movement.

The Birmingham-based company runs professional touring productions alongside extensive education programmes and leads ACE Youth, a nationally recognised young people's dance company.

The bottom line: The production comes to DanceEast this Friday, 10 October, as part of a national and international tour through 2025-26. Tickets are still available but expected to sell fast.
