Carnell Cook

Carnell is a music tutor with over 15 years' experience working across multiple genres and musical styles. He studied music at Ipswich Institute, where he formed an alternative rock band and created a seven-piece hip hop collective, giving him hands-on experience as both a performer and collaborator. He now works with the New Gen team, using his passion and diverse musical knowledge to support the development of young musicians.

New programme tackles youth exclusion through creativity

With 755 young people aged 16-17 not in education, employment or training across Suffolk and national youth reoffending rates at 32.5%, a new alternative provision programme aims to prevent vulnerable young people from falling through the cracks by reconnecting them with learning through music and creative media.
