The details: The windows of the independent, family-owned retailer on Norwich Road have been unveiled during Love Your High Street Week, which runs from 10 to 16 November and encourages shoppers to support independent retailers.

Each house was painstakingly hand-painted by the store's display team to create the festive village.

What they're saying: "The magic of Christmas is here at Coes Ipswich," the store announced. "Come along to enjoy our festive window display and find the perfect gifts for your loved ones."

"When you shop local, you're not just buying something new – you're supporting your community."

Admirers described the window as "beautiful", "fabulous" and "classic and elegant, much like the goods in store."

The bottom line: The independent, family-owned business invites shoppers to visit the store to see the gingerbread village display and shop local this Christmas.
