Chief Marketing & Communications Officer among four internal promotions at local law firm

Local law firm Attwells has promoted four staff members across its Suffolk offices, with former Marketing Manager Jo Debenham stepping up to the newly created role of Chief Marketing & Communications Officer.

Why it matters: The promotions are part of Attwells ' longstanding commitment to developing internal talent and promoting from within.

The details: Jo Debenham has been appointed Chief Marketing and Communication Officer after nearly eight years with the firm. She joined Attwells' board in 2022 and brings over 20 years of marketing experience to her expanded role overseeing strategic marketing and communications.

Ruby White has been promoted to Senior Paralegal in the conveyancing team. She joined in 2021 and supports the Suffolk conveyancing department, helping clients with property transactions.

Charlotte Reason, based at the Ipswich office, becomes Senior Associate whilst continuing as Head of Training and Development. She delivers induction training and oversees apprenticeship programmes across all offices.

Shelagne Earnshaw becomes Senior Legal Assistant in the Private Client department after two-and-a-half years with the firm, specialising in wills, probate and estate matters.

What they're saying: "At Attwells we are especially proud of promoting talent from within," said CEO Nick Attwell. "These promotions recognise not only the exceptional dedication and skill of Jo, Ruby, Charlotte and Shelagne, but also our firm's commitment to helping everyone on our team to grow their careers."

The bottom line: The promotions reinforce Attwells' strategy of nurturing local talent whilst strengthening key departments to better serve clients across the region.
