Volunteers needed for Suffolk's Whole Hog mud run

Ormiston Families is recruiting volunteers aged 16 and over for Suffolk's famous Whole Hog mud run on Saturday, 5 October 2025.

Why it matters: The event only runs with enough volunteers. Every role keeps the course safe and moving. Funds raised will support Ormiston Families' work with children, young people and families across the East of England, including mental health services and support for those affected by imprisonment.

What you will do: Staff an obstacle, hand out medals and high-fives at the finish, or cheer from the sidelines with a front-row view.

What you get: A free t-shirt, and your choice of a hoodie or a place in the 2026 race.

What they're saying: "You can be assured you'll be making a big difference by taking part," said a spokesperson for Ormiston Families.

The bottom line: Help make one of Suffolk's most famous mud runs happen, enjoy the atmosphere, and bag some free gear whilst supporting a local charity.
