Street artist WOSKERSKI unveils second Ipswich mural on Whitehouse estate

London-based artist WOSKERSKI has completed a new mural on the Whitehouse estate, featuring two children and a giant owl, adding to his growing presence in the town.

Why it matters: WOSKERSKI's latest mural continues a trend of vibrant street art brightening Ipswich neighbourhoods, building on the artist's established reputation in the area.

The details: The striking piece appears on the side of a building facing Waterford Road, just around the corner from the Flying Horse Cafe & Pub. It depicts a young boy with a skateboard, sitting in a tree next to a girl reading a book in front of a giant owl.

It's not known yet who commissioned the work or the story behind it.

For context: WOSKERSKI is already known in Ipswich for his mural on the Ashtons Legal building, which shows a man, woman and young child painting a giant ladybird.

The versatile interdisciplinary artist, whose journey with art started in 1997, is recognised for his vivid illustrations, vibrant colours and often ironic and seemingly absurd choice of characters that often carry a relevant message.

The bottom line: WOSKERSKI's expanding portfolio in Ipswich demonstrates the town's growing appeal as a canvas for street art, bringing colour and creativity to local communities.
