Why it matters: The festival offers a chance for the community to come together and celebrate faith through the diverse ways Christ's birth is represented in different cultures and traditions.

The details: The festival runs from 10:00 to 13:00 and welcomes nativity sets of all kinds, from simple handmade creations to intricate family heirlooms. Attendees can stroll through the displays and see how the Nativity story is interpreted around the world.

Parishioners wishing to display their nativity sets can bring them to the church from 1 December, ensuring they include their name and contact details. Sets can be collected from Sunday, 15 December.

What's on offer: The festival will feature the usual raffle prizes, cake and craft stalls, and refreshments. Saint Nicholas will make a special appearance to spread holiday cheer.

The bottom line: The Nativity Festival at St Mark's Church offers a wonderful opportunity for the community to prepare for Christmas, share traditions, and enjoy the festive season together.
