Why it matters: The nominations for 'Probate Law Firm of the Year: Regional' and 'Estate Planning Team of the Year' put Ellisons among the leading firms in the country for private client work, which covers wills, inheritance and estate planning for local families.

The details: Now in its seventh year, the awards are widely known within the legal sector as the 'Probies'. An independent judging panel recognises professionals who support families through estate administration, future planning and asset protection.

What they're saying: Nicola Weldon , partner and head of private client at Ellisons , said: "Being shortlisted in two highly competitive categories is a fantastic achievement for our team. It recognises the consistent quality of our work, the care we show our clients, and the depth of expertise within our Private Client department. I am incredibly proud of the team for their commitment to guiding families through some of the most sensitive and complex moments in their lives."

The bottom line: The 2026 winners will be announced on 23 April at a ceremony at the Pan Pacific London.
