Police are asking residents to keep watch for Adam Ferguson, 44, who has been missing from Ipswich for nearly four weeks and may be camping rough with distinctive army-style equipment.

Why it matters: Officers have released a more up-to-date photograph of Mr Ferguson as concerns grow for his welfare following his disappearance from the Turret Lane area on the morning of Thursday, 28 August.

The details: Mr Ferguson is described as white, of slim build, approximately 6ft tall with short, dark brown hair. He was last seen wearing a dark grey or black hoodie, green/khaki-style cargo trousers, black trainers and a black snapback hat.

Police believe he may be camping somewhere as he owns an army-style camouflage Burgan backpack and uses a one-man, small black tent which fits into the bag.

What to look out for: Anyone who spots Mr Ferguson or sees someone matching his description camping rough should contact the police immediately. Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the distinctive army-style camping equipment.

The bottom line: If you have seen Adam Ferguson or have any information about where he might be, contact Suffolk Police quoting CAD 78 of 2 September via their website at suffolk.police.uk or use the Live Chat service on their homepage.
