# Two men jailed for drugs offences in Ipswich

**The details:** Officers from the Sentinel South team stopped a Volvo V40 on Civic Drive in Ipswich town centre on 17 February 2025\. Both men initially provided false names but were identified through fingerprinting.

A search revealed four grip seal bags of cocaine concealed on each man. Officers seized:

- £144.50 and two iPhones from Kadiu
- £270 and an iPhone from Farruku

After finding keys on Kadiu, police searched his property on St Helen's Street in Ipswich, discovering:

- A large quantity of cannabis
- Cocaine
- £100 in cash
- Digital scales and seal bags

**The sentencing:** On Friday, 16 May at Ipswich Crown Court:

- Kadiu, of St Helen's Street in Ipswich, received three years for possession with intent to supply cocaine and nine months for cannabis supply (to run concurrently)
- Farruku, of Brompton Road in Leicester, was jailed for two years and six months for cocaine supply and six months for cannabis supply (to run concurrently)

**The big picture:** The Sentinel teams provide enhanced coverage across Suffolk's road network, including Ipswich, to proactively disrupt serious and organised criminal activity affecting local communities.
