Two men jailed for drugs offences in Ipswich
Serdar Kadiu, 22, and Algerd Farruku, 27, were sentenced at Ipswich Crown Court on Friday, 16 May, after pleading guilty to drug supply offences.
The details: Officers from the Sentinel South team stopped a Volvo V40 on Civic Drive in Ipswich town centre on 17 February 2025. Both men initially provided false names but were identified through fingerprinting.
A search revealed four grip seal bags of cocaine concealed on each man. Officers seized:
- £144.50 and two iPhones from Kadiu
- £270 and an iPhone from Farruku

After finding keys on Kadiu, police searched his property on St Helen's Street in Ipswich, discovering:
- A large quantity of cannabis
- Cocaine
- £100 in cash
- Digital scales and seal bags
The sentencing: On Friday, 16 May at Ipswich Crown Court:
- Kadiu, of St Helen's Street in Ipswich, received three years for possession with intent to supply cocaine and nine months for cannabis supply (to run concurrently)
- Farruku, of Brompton Road in Leicester, was jailed for two years and six months for cocaine supply and six months for cannabis supply (to run concurrently)
