Two men jailed for drugs offences in Ipswich

The details: Officers from the Sentinel South team stopped a Volvo V40 on Civic Drive in Ipswich town centre on 17 February 2025. Both men initially provided false names but were identified through fingerprinting.

A search revealed four grip seal bags of cocaine concealed on each man. Officers seized:

• £144.50 and two iPhones from Kadiu
• £270 and an iPhone from Farruku

After finding keys on Kadiu, police searched his property on St Helen's Street in Ipswich, discovering:

• A large quantity of cannabis
• Cocaine
• £100 in cash
• Digital scales and seal bags

The sentencing: On Friday, 16 May at Ipswich Crown Court:

• Kadiu, of St Helen's Street in Ipswich, received three years for possession with intent to supply cocaine and nine months for cannabis supply (to run concurrently)
• Farruku, of Brompton Road in Leicester, was jailed for two years and six months for cocaine supply and six months for cannabis supply (to run concurrently)
