Three arrested as man fights for life after Whitehouse Park stabbing

Police are questioning three teenagers after a man sustained life-threatening injuries in a stabbing during an early morning altercation at Whitehouse Park in north-west Ipswich.

The details: The victim, a man aged in his 30s, remains in hospital in a serious condition after what police describe as an altercation between two groups in the early hours of this morning.

  • Police were called at just before 01:50 this morning to reports of an incident in Whitehouse Park.
  • An altercation took place between a group of three teenage males and a group of four adults, resulting in one of the adults being stabbed.
  • The victim was taken to hospital with his injuries described as life-threatening and his condition remains serious.

Swift response: Officers arrived at the scene within a matter of minutes and three male suspects were quickly identified and arrested in the Whitehouse area within an hour of police being called.

The three suspects – two men aged 19 and a 17-year-old boy – were all arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm and were taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre, where they currently remain for questioning.
