Share your Ipswich memories and help preserve town's heritage
A community event at The Hold is inviting Ipswich residents of all ages to contribute their stories and photographs to the town's living history.

The details: Home Instead is hosting the community event at The Hold (Suffolk Archives) on 19th and 20th May, running from 10:00 to 16:00 each day.
Visitors are encouraged to bring old photographs of Ipswich, which will be displayed for everyone to enjoy and discuss.
What to look out for: The event will showcase sketches by local artist Valerie Irwin, who spent years documenting the demolition and reconstruction of the Ipswich waterfront. Her evocative work is currently on display at The Hold.
For context: The Shaftesbury Group, newly commissioned to provide dementia care and support services for East Suffolk, will also be attending. This marks their first public appearance since launching in April.
Representatives will be available to discuss memory concerns and provide information about support services.
