Why it matters: The event raises vital funds for Suffolk Mind, with every penny going directly towards supporting mental health services across the county.

The details: Khorsandi, best known as a regular on Live at the Apollo, 8 Out of 10 Cats and Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow, will be joined by fellow comics John Mann and Michael Fabbri at Suffolk Mind's second-ever Stand Up For Mental Health show.

Mann has worked alongside big names including Lenny Henry, Paul O'Grady and Harry Enfield, while Fabbri has been a regular at Edinburgh Fringe and was a finalist in the 2003 So You Think You're Funny comedy competition.

The trio will be joined by local comedian and MC Louie Green, from event co-organisers Glass Eye Comedy.

What they're saying: Henry Tapp, corporate partnerships manager at Suffolk Mind, said: "We are delighted to welcome Shappi to Suffolk for what is set to be a brilliant night of comedy. Shappi's quick-wit and natural storytelling flair has made her a real TV favourite, so having a comedian of her calibre supporting our cause means the world."

He added: "A huge thank you goes to our kind sponsors MSC, Bates, Wells & Braithwaite Solicitors, Kesgrave Dental Care and the Taylor Family for their support. Here's to a night to remember."

For context: The show follows a successful first event last year, headlined by Mock the Week star Angela Barnes.

The bottom line: Grab your tickets to see one of Britain's most beloved comedians while supporting mental health services in Suffolk. Tickets are priced at £20.
