Why it matters: Suffolk Dog Day helps raise vital funds for St Elizabeth Hospice, which supports over 4,000 patients and families living with life-limiting illnesses across Suffolk.

The details: The event takes place on Sunday, 31 August, at Trinity Park, and will feature a range of fun dog classes, dog agility and scurry activities, as well as over 50 stalls full of doggy goodies, Crufts-style competitions, children's entertainment and plenty of food and drink stalls.

Early bird tickets are available until 30 June.

What they're saying: James Fox-Golding, Events and Challenges Manager at St Elizabeth Hospice, said: "We're thrilled to announce the return of Suffolk Dog Day for 2025. It's a much-loved event in the Suffolk calendar, and we can't wait for August to arrive, bringing together supporters and the local community to celebrate our shared love for dogs."

He added: "With early bird tickets on sale, now is the 'pawfect' opportunity to ensure you don't miss out on this year's event!"

The big picture: All ticket proceeds and donations will support St Elizabeth Hospice's services, which cost around £12 million annually to deliver. The hospice generates 70% of these funds through community support, including retail shops, events, individual fundraising efforts, gifts in wills, and donations.

What's next: Further event details will be announced in the coming months. Tickets can be booked through the hospice website.

The bottom line: Suffolk Dog Day offers dog lovers a chance to enjoy a family-friendly event whilst supporting essential hospice care across the region.
