PizzaExpress launches new menu to celebrate 60th birthday
The restaurant chain is introducing new dishes including a Queen Margherita pizza and two new Dough Ball variants, available from today, Tuesday 11 March.
Why it matters: The nationwide menu revamp comes as the brand marks its 60th year, reimagining fan favourites while offering a special set menu priced at £19.65 – a nod to the year the company was founded.
The big picture: Founded in 1965 by Peter Boizot after he struggled to find "proper pizza" in London, PizzaExpress has grown to nearly 360 pizzerias across the UK.

The details: The new menu features several reimagined classics:
- Queen Margherita pizza topped with an entire ball of creamy burrata
- Blazing Hot Dough Balls created in collaboration with Sauce Shop, coated in melted garlic butter and packed with Original Hot Sauce
- Golden Caramel Chocolate Dough Balls for dessert, served with salted caramel sauce and caramel chocolate dip, finished with gold dust
What they're saying: Paula Mackenzie, CEO at PizzaExpress, said: "For 60 years, PizzaExpress has been serving up iconic dishes, and so we're excited to give pizza aficionados a slice of their favourites with a bold new twist. From the indulgent Queen Margherita to fiery Blazing Hot Dough Balls, our new menu celebrates everything iconic about the brand, reimagined."
The bottom line: PizzaExpress' new menu launches nationwide on Tuesday 11 March and bookings can be made at www.pizzaexpress.com/book.
