'One of the worst examples of parking' brings town centre car park to standstill

A black BMW caused chaos at Ipswich's Tower Ramparts car park on Thursday afternoon after being parked almost entirely outside its designated bay, blocking some drivers in and forcing others to break the one-way system to exit.

The big picture: The vehicle's owner only managed to get a couple of inches of the front wheels inside the newly marked bay at the Tower Ramparts car park on Crown Street.

  • Multiple vehicles were blocked in and unable to exit the car park
  • Drivers were forced to navigate against the one-way system to leave the facility, causing chaos

What they're saying: One shopper, who didn't want to be named, labelled it "one of the worst examples of parking" they had seen, while another elderly car park user labelled it "entirely selfish".

Bottom line: While no accidents were reported, the incident demonstrates a complete disregard for others in one of Ipswich's busiest car parks.
