## The weather

It's a chilly and wet start, with persistent light rain throughout the morning. Temperatures will reach 10°C, but the strong winds will make it feel much colder, dropping to -2°C at times.

- Strong westerly winds with gusts up to 42mph through the morning
- Light rain continuing until early afternoon (60-80% chance)
- Overcast conditions developing by lunchtime
- Temperature falling to 2-3°C overnight
- Sun sets at 16:00, with sunrise tomorrow at 08:03

**Make sure you:**

**Church Lane, Barham**: Diversion route in place today via Coopers Road for streetworks.

**Coopers Road, Barham**: Full road closure in place today for streetworks.

**Main Road, Kesgrave**: Diversion route in place today for streetworks.

**Norwich Road, Barham**: Diversion route in place today via Sandy Lane for streetworks.

**Norwich Road, Ipswich**: Lane closure in effect until tomorrow for ongoing streetworks.

**Playford Mount, Playford**: Road closure in place today along the road from C323 to C324 for streetworks.

**Playford Road, Culpho**: Diversion route in place today for Playford Mount closure.

**Princethorpe Road, Ipswich**: Diversion route in place from today until January 9 for streetworks.

**Sandy Lane, Barham**: Road closure in place today for streetworks.

**Temple Road, Ipswich**: Multiple restrictions in place today until January 9 - both access only restrictions and a full road closure for works by Anglian Water.

**Brunswick Road**: Two-way traffic signals will be in operation from today until January 9 for Openreach works.

**Burrell Road**: Two-way traffic signals in place today for footway level difference repairs by Suffolk County Council.

**College Street**: Lane closure starting today until tomorrow for Anglian Water works.

**Curlew Road**: Multi-way traffic signals in operation from today until January 9 for Openreach works.

**Knightsdale Road**: Two-way traffic signals in place from today until January 13 for essential Cadent gas works.

**Larchcroft Road**: Give and take traffic control in place from today until January 9 for Anglian Water works.

**London Road**: Two-way traffic signals in place from today until January 9 for Anglian Water metering works.

**Old Foundry Road**: Road closure in place today until tomorrow for Openreach works.

**Princedale Close**: Temporary obstruction in place today for carriageway defect repairs.

**Ropes Drive, Kesgrave**: Lane closure in place from today until tomorrow for ironwork repairs.

**The Street, Rushmere St Andrew**: Two-way traffic signals in place from today until January 9 for Anglian Water works.

**Turret Lane**: Road closure starting today until January 13 for emergency gas repair works by Cadent.
